Qikiqtarjuaq (big island) is located off the east coast of Baffin
island and is home to just over 500 people.
It measures about 16 km from north to south and 12 km from east
to west. Qikiqtarjuaq has a coasline +of about 56km.
It is 513 km north of iqaluit which puts it approximately 100km
north of the Arctic Circle.
Pangnirtung, the closest community, is 225 km south via
Pangnirtung Pass in Auyuittuq National Park.
